Hi, I'm Rhiannon, a qualified counsellor and early childhood educator who loves being creative. Making Mindfully was born from my passion to help individuals tap into their creativity through simple mindfulness exercises and art expression through creative workshops. I believe in the power of the creative process, not just the final product. These mindful art workshops are designed to be accessible, easy to follow - especially beginners, and help you come alive as you explore your unique artistic expression.

Mindfulness is about drawing your attention to the present moment, focusing on the here and now rather than the past or future. It's about bringing awareness to your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and sensations in the present moment. You can be mindful while sipping a cup of tea, while going for a walk, or enjoying a meal.

Mindful art integrates mindfulness practices with the act of creating art. It serves as a meditative practice where the emphasis lies on the creative journey rather than the end result. This approach invites individuals to attentively engage with their feelings, thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations, fostering a non-judgmental stance towards the creative process.

In a busy world it's never been more important to learn how to connect to the present moment. By learning to do this in a fun, playful, and safe environment, not only are you engaging in self-care but developing a tool to use in your everyday life. In a busy world it's never been more important to learn how to connect to the present moment. By learning to do this in a fun, playful, and safe environment, not only are you engaging in self-care but developing a tool to use in your everyday life. Mindfulness is an evidence-based practice that helps reduce anxiety and depression, improve concentration, improve mental and physical wellbeing, improve emotional regulation, and increase the ability to handle stress.

Join us for a creative and inspiring workshop where we will turn our goals, hopes, and dreams into visual masterpieces! Rhiannon begins the workshop with a guided visualisation exercise that will help you identify your goals, theme, and direction of your vision board before going through the process of crafting it. Each participant is provided with an A3 canvas and all tools necessary to create a mixed media vision board (paints, markers, glue, stickers, scissors, coloured paper, sparkles etc.) Bring along your own images, printed photos, magazines and quotes that resonate with your goals and aspirations. Snacks and soft drinks will also be provided to fuel your creativity. Feel free to BYO any additional food and non-alcoholic beverages that you prefer. Whether you're looking to set new goals or gain clarity on your current path, this workshop is perfect for inspiration and motivation. Beginner friendly and open to children aged 10 years and above.
